Let’s go back to the basics when you are stuck in both speaking and writing

Hi guys, how have you been? I am truly sorry for not uploading my English blog for such a long time. Ultimately, I am always saying I have been so busy, everyone seems to be busy, right? No excuse, please. Yes, I know that. No only have I been hectic these days, I have also been somehow stuck in writing. Does anyone have this sort of experience? Yes many of you seem to have, right? But, especially when it comes to speaking, more English learners tend to be stuck how to start chatting. In this case, how do we manage to solve the problem? Let’s briefly talk about this!

The easiest way, or the best one is to think about 5 w 1 h when you find it difficult to start talking or continue to talk. As we know, 5 w 1 h consists of “who”, “when”, “where”, “what”, “why”, and “how.” That is, when people are talking about something like a personal story, they obviously tend to begin by saying who, when, where, what, why and how did someone what, right? That’s a quite straightforward method. So, this is a great way of starting talking. And, you may want to talk about this sort of thing chronologically, which makes sense. This method not just makes your life much easier, but prevents you from pausing so many times during conversation.

Unnecessary or odd pauses and hesitations have an adverse effect on your conversation partner. Some of you might have this experience like, when you are talking about something and wanted to continue to share the story in more detail; however you started pausing and hesitating a couple of times, and all of a sudden, your conversation partner interrupted your talk and annoyingly changed the topic. Personally, this situation drives me up the wall. In fact, although it depends on individuals, what I reckon is that bogans or not well-educated people are kind of predisposed towards talking of themselves before finishing my talk. By contrast, well-educated people are more likely to patiently listen to my talk until I finish this up. But, ultimately no matter whom you talk, let’s try not to oddly pause or intermittently hesitate if you really want to tell your conversation partner exactly what you want to say.

Ok, let’s recap what I suggested today. Please do start talking about 5 w 1 h first if you think you are going to be stuck in speaking or even writing as well. And, another method is to reduce the number of unnecessary or odd pauses and hesitations while you are talking as much as you possibly can, in order to avoid the clandestine or overt interception of your talk by your conversation partner or someone else. That’s all for today. Thanks for reading!
