Hi mate, how are you going? Today I’d like to introduce my new English lesson to you guys. This new lesson program will be conducted by Zoom. And, this is going to be a group lesson program, not a private one as I’m still currently having two streams: a private general English program and the PTE preparation program. So, this is going to be accomodating several students. I’m genuinely stoked about launching this online lesson. If anyone being worried about English ability or curious about this program, please contact me via DM or leaving comments on this blog. Ok, let’s get into it.
First of all, this group lesson is expected to be really fun as it encompasses a wide range of study areas including pronunciation, read aloud, etymology, grammar, self-talk and repeating. (optional) To complete all of these areas, it will take approximately 6 months. If you are trying to get these things done by yourself, then it might take much longer, or you may end up in giving up before its completion. The chief reason why it is is that you are not quite sure how they need to be done, or you will be confused about what sorts of textbooks you ought to use for these areas. If you join my new program, then I’m certain you’re going to be alright. In fact, there will be virtually no specific textbook that’s needed. Whether you are aware of it or not, you don’t really need a textbook for learning English basics except English grammar, which you should have one grammar text. That’s it. Otherwise, you don’t necessarily need to stress out. Too easy!
Pretty obvious things I want to say are like you just need a piece of file that shows 44 sounds of English pronunciation (which is phonemic charts); lists of short sentences that are downloadable from some free of charge websites; lists of basic word roots; a grammar book; and Chrome Browser for self-talk. That’s all you need. Too simple, isn’t it? And, so I will let you know how to do these things for your English learning journey.
How about cost-wise? Well, although my private lesson costs far more expensive than the group lesson does, expected benefits for the private one are considerably different from the group one. For the private one, you can have more individualised depth analyses for your day-to-day performance, you can always enquire about any pertinent or even impertinent things during or not even during Zoom meetings, and you can have more specific performance checks. In contrast, for the group lesson, you can hardly have any of those, unfortunately, due to the nature of such multiple students’ environments. The teaching style is going to be quite different as well. The private lesson has mostly interactive sessions between you and me, whereas the group one is going to have half an hour lecture and half an hour Q&A session, but the latter half probably includes random performance checks depending on circumstances.
In terms of advantages in choosing the group lesson, you can interact with other students who are presumably like-minded ones, so that you could forge relationships with some of them, maybe. And also, you will probably get inspired by some of their effort, dedication and steadfastness in the face of difficulty. I reckon the more students you have, the more stimulating you are going to feel, which has a huge impact on the progress of your English learning. Studying alone is not always the best choice for you as there will be so much distraction on the way to your ultimate destination. If you join the group lesson, then you could come out of your shell. Excessive shyness is your enemy when it comes to learning languages.
And, finally, although I have already introduced my new group Zoom lesson to my Twitter a couple of times, I wanted to do the same thing on my blog here, because not everyone is on Twitter. And, also, please leave your comments below if you have any question regarding my new program. To join this program, the tuition fee is AUD$500 only, which gives you 6 months lesson + 1 month bonus (This campaign will be finished by the end of July 2021). As for the lesson time and date, it will probably be somewhere between Mon and Fri, and twice a week (1 hour session for each), and the time will be early morning or evening depending on students’ preferences and my circumstances.
Thanks for reading today! See you guys on Zoom if you join us.
Have a lovely Friday. Chao.
