Whether you've fully understood English language depends upon whether you could find whereabouts of SVO

G'day mate. How are you doing? Today, what I'm gonna discuss is whether you've fully understood English language or not depends upon whether you could find whereabouts of SVO. If you can arrange the order of words in accordance with grammar rules properly, then it is almost unimaginable why you can't fully understand English language. Let' find out.

So, word order or arrangement is crucially important for English learners to fully understand in the first place. This is definitely called English grammar, but it's more than that. What do I mean by this? Well, even if you've fully understood any complex grammar rule and its terminology, it doesn't automatically mean that you can easily read English articles. Why? Because, word order or arrangement is not merely a part of English grammar, but it's also the cornerstone of how English sentences are written, in other words, in what way each word is gonna be arranged accordingly. This is actually at the core of the English language. You know what I mean? Thus, I don't care how excellent you understand advanced grammar rules and you've memorised all grammar terminology. It's gonna be meaningless if you don't really know how English sentences are written grammatically. The thing is "Practicality", which is far more important than your knowledge of advanced grammar rules and terminology.

For instance, some people say like I'm not good at reading, listening, writing, even speaking as well. Ok, but the problem is not really something to do with your grammar knowledge, vocabulary, or even pronunciation, but most likely to do with the very simple grammar rule, which is whereabouts of main subject, main verb, and main object. If you can't find them instantaneously, then your understanding of the very basic grammar is highly doubted, which means that you probably haven't used your grammar knowledge in a practical way such as internal monologue, a free conversation with someone, etc. Phrases, expressions as well as idioms can be varied depending upon unforeseen or exceptional circumstances, whereas the very simple grammar rule such as how simple sentences should be produced is in fact the timeless one. If so, why don't you learn and understand it perfectly instead of relentlessly memorising new phrases, idioms or expressions? We as a non-native speaker don't have to be perfect, and if you reckon I'm a perfectionist, then unfortunately I presume you're not gonna have a chance to get better in any part of English skill. So, don't worry about colourful phrases or idioms, which are not important for us. Your listener is gonna be willing to understand you and enjoy your talk if you keep it simple.

Sorry to digress a bit from what I was discussing in the beginning, but just to sum up now. Well, your grammar knowledge or terminology doesn't have to be perfect, but more importantly, you've got to ensure that you can wrap your head round the very simple grammar rule, or correct word order. Ultimately speaking, if you can find whereabouts of SVO instantly within a complex paragraph or article, then I do believe she's apples!

Thanks for reading my English ditty. Adios!
